Blown away : Milwaukee 6950-20 12-inch Dual Bevel Miter Saw with Digital Miter Angle Fine Adjust
Heard from a few people that these were supposed to be commercial/construction grade, top-of-the-line. A little over a year after purchase (JUST after the manufacturer's warranty expired) it sounds like the motor brushes are going. I also noticed that cutting wood causes chips and dust to build up in the motor compartment causing the motor to fail to spin up properly. A blast with some compressed air or a vacuum blower seems to blow out the dust and let the motor spin up to full again but these problems do not sound like a commercial grade saw. It was not even punished or used to the extent of a large commercial operation or construction jobs. A bit disappointed by this one. Up until now I always thought Milwaukee was a trusted and durable brand.
